Hi, I'm Shariff - a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Łódź, Poland, with more than 15 years of experience across software engineering, infrastructure, platform operations, and automation.

My work sits at the intersection of Linux, DevOps, automation, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, GitOps, observability, databases, and enterprise application platforms. I enjoy taking complex operational problems and turning them into reliable, repeatable, and maintainable systems.

A large part of my professional experience has been around highly available enterprise environments - including Atlassian Jira and Confluence Data Center, Oracle, RHEL, Ansible, monitoring platforms, automation pipelines, application upgrades, migrations, and production operations.

Outside enterprise infrastructure, I build and operate my own self-hosted environment where I experiment with containers, networking, local AI, monitoring, game servers, radio systems, SDR, IoT, and distributed services. What starts as an experiment often becomes a working platform.

More recently, my focus has expanded toward OpenShift, Kubernetes, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, GitOps workflows, platform engineering, and modernizing legacy enterprise applications.

I believe good engineering is not about collecting tools. It's about understanding systems, reducing unnecessary complexity, automating repeatable work, and building infrastructure that people can depend on. Build it. Understand it. Automate it. Improve it.
